Trying to get back to my portrait works. Created a pencil sketch of
this beautiful face from Kutch, ( Gujarat, India ) with traditional
attire and silver jewelry.Through this portrait rendered in HB

Dianthus Vincifera

10x10"
Oil on canvas

Bought these carnations from my regula florist, who is never very excited to see me. I took up a good amount of his time mixing and matching and begging him to give me extra flowers, only to buy a small bunch.
Once I set up the ensemble, my maid suggested that I put the wine bottle alongside, which was in the grocery I had brought in from the same shopping trip as the flowers. So here it is, wine and flowers. What more can a woman want.
A photo of the model for reference!

This is a beautiful scene that we came across while we were on our
holidays  at Coorg, a beautiful hill station in Karnataka.
The morning walks through the lush greenery would

Heroes

These are two heroes, true heroes on screen and behind screen...
The first (Albert Einstein) is known for his calmness and second (Nana Patekar) for his dynamism but both are fully capable of producing enormous amount of energy; mentally and physically.
Here I have tried to colour their personalities.

Morning walk in Coorg - Soft pastel painting by Manju Panchal

I am a self taught artist based at Andheri, Mumbai. This is my first post in this blog and I am grateful to Arti Chauhan to include me as a member here.

The painting below is of a beautiful landscape as seen in Coorg, a hill station in Karnataka, where we
spent our holidays on three different occasions. It is an amazing place with coffee plantations and lush green surroundings. I have used soft pastels to create this art work on Fabriano Tiziano paper.

Presently I am busy creating landscape paintings for my upcoming solo exhibition in Gallerie Leela, Andheri East, Mumbai. Inspired and motivated by the beauty of nature, I am using my personal plein air sketches and photographs to create my works.
