Wise Old Man

A pencil sketch by Arti.
Although I posted it on my main blog Arti's Art... sometime back, I am sharing it again - as some of you may not have seen it there.I did this some months ago, taking a refrence from photo taken by a brilliant photographer Mostafa Moftah. He had taken some beautiful shots of India, and was kind enough to allow me to use them as reference.
This old man is one of those people who renounce the world and roam around spiritual places like Varanasi and Rishikesh.

Women from Rajasthan,India

Oil Portrait done by Arti Chauhan--the painting was done a few years ago...still hangs on my wall. People from Rajasthan have always been a favorite with me. Their features, the colorfullness of their attire, the women's jewellery and the general upbeat mood..everything is so lively about Rajasthan.

A Warm Welcome Note

I have been blogging since January 2009 and have come across many talented artists all over the world during this period. Blogging is a very useful medium to bond with like minded people and share your art and experience . There are many, many talented artists in our country but what I am missing, however, common platform where they can drop by, exhibit their work, their experiences ...thus, I felt the need for this blog.

I want to emphasise that I won't be in any way owning or using other artists' work, that is, without their consent. This platform will be used only for bonding with each other and sharing of views and art.People who have trust in others are welcome to join me here.

I don't have any blueprint at this moment.Lets just let it evolve itself.
