Today I was going through my sketchbook and I paused at this palm size sketch. Some months back I was sitting in an auditorium. She was sitting few rows ahead. During an interval I began to draw her..... but at next glance, she was not there and the sketch remained in complete.
But now, I feel, I have caught the essence of the character. What your views are ?
Suresh ji , the sketch is quite nice.I could never bring myself to sketch on the go!Have you seen Stephen Gardner's daily sketchblog? The guy is a pro at this.Take a look at http://sketchoftheday.blogspot.com/ReplyDelete
Thank you Arti ji, I will definitely go through the blog you have suggested. This reminded me, in my Orkut profile , during the year 2009, as per my resolution I posted daily one art form for entire year. They all are grouped in albums one each for the month. It is requested to you all to visit the same. This the link :-ReplyDelete
The sketch is perfect. Not a line more, not a line less. This is from the top draw.ReplyDelete
You did catch her in the moment. Sometimes the more minimalist the drawing the more impact. It draws your eye right to where you want it to be. I like this.ReplyDelete

I have noticed you can sketch almost anything with about 12 lines or less, and some shading. Keep it to three, maybe four values. You certainly captured the essence of the young lady. You can almost read her thoughts!ReplyDelete
