"Kitchen" - By Ramesh Jhawar


The painting depicts a traditional Indian (Rajasthani) village woman busy preparing food for her family.Usually in Indian villages, houses have mud floors and open spaces for kitchen- like you see here.
In the background an earthen 'chulha' ( stove) can be seen.

  1. This painting is just excellent, the attention given to each attribute be it fire, chappati, flour, the mud matkas, steel container is just amazing. It just reminds me of scene from my village ...
